The Hire Supply Company has been engaged with the show since it began and this year we were awarded a very welcomed '10 Years Service' recognition plaque to commemorate a decade of exhibiting at the show, from the Executive Hire Team.

We had an excellent team on site this year, the force was strong on Stand A50...
Along with me were, Kevin Lever our Operations Director, Dan Musson our Sales Director and Steve McKenzie our Sales Manager as well as Richard Page, one of our exceptional Sales Consultants, from our Nottingham Customer Management Team.
We also had John McGhee our Sales Manager from our sister company Midland Power on hand for his wealth of knowledge and experience of the industry, to discuss garden machinery and spares and of course, Stand A50 wouldn't be Stand A50 without our show favourite and friend Jay Jessop on hand to help support us throughouth the show.
On the Wednesday the exhibition started slowly whilst customers grabbed themselves breakfast and became aquanted with the layout of the ever growing show floorplan.
We have an excellent location having stand A50 as it faces the entrance to the show, so we get to see pretty much everyone coming in!
By around 11am the stand was vibrant and full of prospective new business and many familiar faces and it continued in that way until about 3pm.
As usual, we took an eclectic selection of our wide and diverse range of products including, heating, lighting and extraction products already loved by the trade and hire industry as well as a number of new and exciting products we revealed at the show.
We were able to show products that customers did not know we sold, (as well as some old favourites), welcome new customers to our business and take orders from our very valued existing customers.
We had a number of 'show only offers' on some of the products we took and I was happy to see, were being embraced in large quantitiy orders from a varied range of customers.
Every year at the Executive Hire Show, we try to attract customers with some fun on our stand. This year, we had the 'TEN SECOND CHALLENGE' where players started a counter and attempted to stop it at exactly 10 seconds.
The on stand game was very busy with lots of people trying to win the top prize of £1,000.00 of Elite Equipment with a runner up prize of an iPad Mini 2.

On the first day Paul Lewis from Phoenix Hire took the runners up prize with a score of 9.997 seconds, with no one person winning the main prize. We had a very busy and encouraging day with a lot of new and returning visitors over the period.
We had some great conversations with customers and other suppliers and engaged with a considerable number of people.
It was a very satisfying day!
Day two had a more muted and relaxed start, possibly due to long conversations over a glass of wine the evening before. But with fewer numbers came quality visitors who we engaged the day before, returning and placing orders based on our discussions and demonstrations from day one.
It was great to see the volume of people attending both days of the show and again, very satisfying to see visitors return to our stand, engage with us again and resulted in orders being placed on the day. We must be doing something right!
Overall the show was an excellent platform to meet and interact with our customers, whether just starting out as a tool hirer or reseller or one of our long time customers, all were welcome, all came and the atmosphere was electric.
The 10 Second Challenge was in full swing throughout the day again and clearly proved a popular choice this year.
Possibly because when hitting the button, the now familiar and quite satisfyingly explosive sound of the 'Voice UK's 'Blind Auditions' Chair Button rang out across the show hall!
Robson Gale from Southern Plant took the runners up prize of an iPad 2 on day 2, with no one person hitting exactly 10 seconds and winning the main prize.
